This one’s for the dads who don’t always have the words…
but carry more than anyone sees.
I know you don’t hear it much.
What do you say to a man holding the weight of a world he can’t fix?
Whether it’s by blood or by choice…
Dad is Dad.
You don’t ask for credit.
You don’t need the spotlight.
But still, some days, you wonder if you’re failing anyway.
You question everything.
Did I say the right thing?
Should I have stayed calmer?
Am I screwing this up?
And under all of that, the question that keeps grinding at you soul:
Am I enough for this kid?
Because some days you feel like a hammer in a world that needs pillows.
Some days you watch your partner do things you don’t know how to do.
Some days you feel like the only thing you bring is silence, and even that feels too loud.
But here’s the truth:
You are not here by accident.
You are not replaceable.
And you sure as hell don’t need to be perfect to be priceless.
Every time you carry a meltdown so your partner can breathe…
Every time you show up even when you don’t know what to do…
Every time you keep going, even when no one sees it…
You’re showing your kid what safety looks like in a father.
Not perfect.
Not always calm.
But steady. Present. Human. Real.
Your child might not say it.
Hell, the world might not either.
But that doesn’t make it less true:
You matter.
You’re needed.
And you are enough.
Right now. As you are. Even in the mess.
She sees it….
So take a breath, Brother.
Pull up a chair. Kick your feet by the fire for a minute.
And know this: you’re not alone.
